Leave a Comment In a video published on June 22nd, 2010, Elena Poniatowska, recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Women’s Media Foundation, whose many works include the books of reportage La noche de Tlatelolco and Nada, nadie: Las voces del temblor and novels including La piel del cielo and who is a Consulting Editor of The International Literary Quarterly, pays homage at a funeral service in the “Palacio de Bellas Artes” in Mexico City to the Mexican writer, Carlos Monsiváis, who died on June 19th.

Leave a Comment Harrison Cheng’oli Misiko, a news reporter for the Kiswahili newspaper, Taifa Leo [Daily Nation], and as a news correspondent for the FM radio stations Easy and Q FM, and who has taught Journalism at the Dominion Training Institute, Bungoma, and at the Eldoret Professional and Accountancy College (EPAC) in Eldoret, Kenya, will be contributing his English-Lubukusu translation of Richard Berengarten’s poem, “Volta”, to Issue 11 of The International Literary Quarterly.
