Elena Poniatowska, the Mexican journalist and author who is a Vice-President of Interlitq, has been cited in “Oil, Chavez And Telenovelas: The Rise Of The Venezuelan Novel” (Marcela Valdes, NPR, 11.04.13): “Yet since 1967, a Venezuelan award, the International Novel Prize Rómulo Gallegos, has been the kingmaker of Spanish-language book prizes.
