In a recent video interview (October 15th, 2010) Elena Poniatowska, recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Women’s Media Foundation, whose many works include the books of reportage La noche de Tlatelolco and Nada, nadie: Las voces del temblor and novels including La piel del cielo and who is a Consulting Editor of The International Literary Quarterly, discusses the impact of a past meeting with Jorge Luis Borges. She praises Borges’s “intelligence, accessibility and amiability” and goes on to state that she considers El Aleph to be his best story.
